Do you want to know how many times I wrote and re-wrote the opening sentence to this blog post? Well it was way too many to count. So here we are! I have a million thoughts going through my head right now. I first want to talk about these GORGEOUS photos then I’ll dive into the deeper stuff! I love, LOVE shooting these soft and delicate details for boudoir! I’ll post the second half of this shoot later, but I had to keep these simple and clean photos in a post of their own! I sound like a broken record, but I pride myself of offering classy boudoir photography Lubbock, and this shoot truly shows my style! I love how the images turned out! ENJOY!

Guys. This whole business thing. This boudoir thing. Some days it’s really HARD on me. I’m a self-proclaimed introvert. I’m also one of the most modest people I know. So how in the world did I end up here? Taking photos of women in lingerie?! Having an internal battle about the whole business every other week… I’ve been doing a lot of soul searching lately. At the beginning of the year I had a little incident with my business and in the midst of that and being 7 months pregnant, I was ready to close the doors and run for the hills so as not to deal with any of that drama ever again! But Je-T’adore and boudoir photography has always been a step or two outside my comfort zone. And going there. Going outside my own comfort zone always produces growth. Growth personally. Growth spiritually. Just growth! It always pushes me to go further than I normally would and in my experiences that’s where I realize my best. So I’ve asked myself a lot lately…
Why shoot boudoir? What does it mean? What drives my passion for it?
And the answer? – Well there are several, but Love is at the center of it all. I believe in boudoir because I believe in love. I believe in the strength and power and beauty of women. I believe in the sanctity of marriage. I believe that passion and intimacy in marriage is one of the most integral parts of it. I believe that sometimes OFTEN times women just don’t see themselves the way their loved ones see them. I believe that helping others…helping YOU step outside your own comfort zone is a way to produce change and love in your own life. Toward yourself. Toward your loved ones. I believe that every women should feel beautiful. I believe that every woman deserves a “ME” day and doing a boudoir session is kind of exactly what that is! I believe in myself! Which is hard to say some days because I struggle with comparison and all those feelings of inadequacy that we all deal with! I believe in beauty. I believe in boudoir photography!
Over the last 5 years I’ve photographed women from EVERY walk of life…Newlyweds, soon-to-be’s, mom-to-be’s, mothers of 5, women celebrating 25 years of marriage or their Husband’s 50th birthday… And I consider it an honor every time a woman trusts me to photograph them in the most vulnerable way possible.
