Happy New Year, lovelies!!

The holiday season was so busy around here, but we got some time to relax and to dream about what the new year will hold!  As another holiday season is in full swing (Valentine’s Day is a big holiday for Boudoir, ya know!) we are having a blast meeting so many beautiful women and helping them create some fun gifts for their sweethearts!  I’ve got big dreams for Je-T’adore in 2014 and I hope you all can be a part of it!

That’s me (Casey) (Pink jacket) & Jalie (the best hair and makeup artist ever)(bunny ears) at the bridal show yesterday!  Again it was so much fun to meet so many gorgeous brides and talk to you all about boudoir for your grooms-to-be! I’ve got lots of posts coming this year! So be on the lookout!

But for now, Happy New Year from the Je-T’adore Beauty & Boudoir team!

It’s been SO cold and crazy weather here the past few weeks! But inside the studio it’s been heating up!! So many boudoir shoots and lots of beautifully wrapped surprises will be waiting under the Christmas tree for some very lucky husbands! 😉

I love it!

Hope you all are having a warm and cozy December!

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11”

There is a beauty in waiting.  Sometimes it seems like every good thing comes with some sort of standard wait time.  I think the waiting makes those things that much more special. More meaningful. More beautiful. As I captured this image I couldn’t help but think…she looks like a lady in waiting.  For what? I’m not sure.  But I know it will be something good.  If you’re in the process of waiting…on something, on someone… take heart that it will be well worth the wait.  And it will be beautiful.

One of the things I love most about doing the work I do (besides making women feel beautiful and helping them to see their beauty) is the fact that I get to be super girly myself.  I get to be creative.  I get to watch a girl transform not just outwardly through hair and makeup, but inwardly as she becomes more comfortable and more confident in front of my camera.  I get to take risks as a photographer.  And most of the time those risks turn out so great!

I never got around to sharing this double exposure from Robbie’s Rocker Glam Shoot.  We shot Robbie’s “rocker” look and Jalie’s “vintage glamour” look in the same day so I had a huge pile of flowers in the studio from Jalie’s shoot.  I decided to test the legs on my new camera and try out the double exposure feature.  So I snapped a quick shot of Robbie silhouetted in front of the window and walked over and snapped the pile of flowers that were laying on a bench.  The photo below is what resulted.  I only did a little bit of work to make the flowers stand out a little bit more in places…

Just an example of why taking risks are a great thing!  If you’re trying something new for the first time, or are just wary of what your next move will be.  Don’t stop. Don’t hesitate. Don’t be fearful. Just jump in with both feet…I can almost guarantee that the result will be something beautiful!

Eeeek!! Yes! I literally have just been squealing with excitement ever since I shot these photos! And as I would open up each new one to edit I would squeal even more! This girl is absolutely gorgeous! What a sweetheart! She graciously gave Jalie & I her afternoon as we made her over and watched her transform into a supermodel right before our very eyes.  This was my first shoot since we’ve been back from our trip to Europe in September and I was just so excited to shoot – but my expectations were far exceeded when we started the shoot after hair and makeup was done!  I’m so so happy with how the images turned out!  I’ve been playing around with some different editing techniques and textures and things so I just had some fun processing these images! This shoot also shows how you can book a boudoir shoot and still leave one or two outfits for more glamour style shots!  Yeah, maybe the boudoir images are for your significant other – but you deserve a new facebook profile pic too, right?! 😉

In all honesty – this girl could easily be America’s next top model – so I’m so thankful that I got to photograph her!

Enjoy a few faves from her session!
