Hello beautiful people!

I’ve been workin’ hard to get some images that I can share with you all here on the blog!! We’ve been shooting lots of beautiful boudoir shoots lately so that’s why the blog has been a little quiet!  But last week we shot a couple beauty/glamour shoots and I am SO SO SO SO SO beyond excited to share them with you! We had a whole team to help with the trasformation of our models and the transformation of my little ideas into reality!! Big, BIG thank you to Chrome for doing all the styling and providing all the clothing and accessories!  Another big thank you to Kristyn Smith for an awesome job on the hair – and to one of our models and our incredibly talented makeup artist Jalie Kimbrough for the amazing makeup! And of course our other model Robbie Browning!

To say it was fun would be an understatement! I’m so so pleased with the final product and I just couldn’t wait to share it all so I had to share a little sneak peak of each of the models! 😉

Happy Friday and Happy March everyone!!

February has been a wonderful month, busy, but so great! We finally moved! YAY! So I’ve finally got the chance to get the studio in more working order for all the upcoming beauty & boudoir shoots I’ve got for the Spring!! I’m so excited!

Meet Miss S. Isn’t she gorgeous?! She’s a hairstylist at Salon Sculpt here in Lubbock, and I love love her style! We had a great time playing dress up, adding flowers and lace and making her session very casual and cozy…but still sexy! I loved her Free People slip paired with the cozy knee high socks. But my favorite outfit was her sheer color block dress shirt with a classic black lace bra & panty set underneath.  Perfection.

Hope you enjoy some favorites from her session! Thanks so much Miss S for being such a gracious and gorgeous model!

Why I love shooting women…

Because every woman should be able to have this much fun.

lubbock modern women's portrait studio

Because every woman should be able to see themselves as beautiful as the rest of the world sees them.  As beautiful as they are.

Because I love all girly things. Hair. Makeup. Lipgloss. Dresses. High Heels. Laughing with your best friend. Shopping. Handbags. Chick Flicks. Romantic Comedies. Mother/Daughter relationships. Sister relationships. Etc. Etc…  You name it, I love it! And I love making new friends with every shoot.

Bonne Année, everyone!!

(I know it’s a little late! But things have been crazy around here!)

I can’t even express how excited I am for the new year and all the things we have planned for Je-T’adore this year!!

We have found a hair and makeup artist who is going to be a huge part of our sessions this year! Hair and makeup have been such a vital part of beauty and boudoir sessions and I’m so excited that Jalie is just as excited to come in and help make our clients feel extra beautiful with her awesome talent!  What a blessing!! You can “like” her page on facebook here: and follow her pinterest that is full of great hair and makeup ideas for you guys! Follow her here:

Speaking of facebook pages – If you’re not already – go “like” the Je-T’adore page here:  We will be making lots of announcements on there soon, and I want you guys to be the first to know!!

The Bridal show this past Sunday was a huge success for us! Thanks for everyone who stopped by the Aric & Casey Photography and Je-T’adore booths! So many of you stopped to say so many sweet words and it was so encouraging, I’m excited to hear from you all and excited to get you guys in the studio for some awesome shoots!!

Oh yes! More good news!! We are planning to keep the studio through the year to be able to have a functional space to shoot all of our beauty and boudoir sessions!  It’s coming along great and we are excited to keep it and get lots of use out of it this year!!

I’m finishing up on working on an online brochure that includes all of our pricing, some before and afters, behind the scenes photos, and much more!

A big thanks to Deborah (see post below) and Jalie for being on board with all the vision I’ve had for Je-T’adore and helping me make it happen this year! I couldn’t do it without you guys and I’m so thankful for you both!

Enjoy a few teasers of what we’ve been up to at the studio lately!

(Another big thanks to our models who volunteered and took time out of their busy schedules to spend a couple hours with us at the studio!)

I will be the first to admit I probably went years without painting my nails. It wasn’t until this past year that I fell in love with getting a regular manicure/pedicure. There is just something about having freshly painted nails that makes you feel beautiful and put together! I do; however, have a love/hate relationship with the fact that the color only lasts about a week, but at the same time I love being able to change up my everyday look with something so simple as a different nail color!
Essie has a lovely winter collection of colors, my personal fave being the “bobbing for baubles”.  Dark blue nails have been a big trend for the fall, and I just so happened to have the perfect blue sparkle dress to match! But really, you can’t go wrong with any of these colors! I love them all!

We also found some great inspiration for glam looks from other beauty blogs, all of which would compliment your holiday party or special Christmas date-look.
The No Polish Nail Polish:
This is a great option if you don’t have time to go in for a manicure and feel like experimenting a bit! You can either go with the Sally Hansen Salon Effects and one of my favorite beauty bloggers, Kandee Johnson has a great tutorial for how to apply these, or if you can’t find a pattern you like there, you might try the Sephora by OPI Chic Prints!
The Hombre Nail polish:
That’s right, the crazy gradient hair trend has made its way onto your nails in an hombre nail! Wish just a few simple steps you can have your very own Hombre nails! Plus, there are a few more fun nail art designs HERE!

Modern Dandelion Nail Art:
If the crazy prints, or hombre nails are a little too “out there” for you, but you want to add a little zing to your ordinary single color nails- add a little art yourself! This dandelion art looks so fun! Reminds me of Fireworks- might be perfect for New Year’s Eve!
And last but not least, you can’t go wrong with GLITTER nails this year!!
I’m loving these fun bright colors from the OPI Muppets collection for the Holidays!!
Hope this post helped inspire you to spend a little time on yourself this weekend! You deserve it!
XOXO, Casey
